Briefing was good,  Gridding was good,  Launching was good and went very nicely.   The sky is bright blue and the wind is light and variable...   All of the beautiful sailplanes are racing around todays task.    Happy Days....

Official Racing Day Two

Briefing completed,  the weather is similar to yesterday, they are expecting that conditions will be such that climbing will be difficult and average best heights won't be very high.   Well done to Greg and Mike for great flights yesterday.....

Official Day 1

All launched,  a few good thermals and a bright blue sky,  (no cloud),  I guess that they'll all be back in a couple of hours but tonights stories will be a little different as compared to yesterday....  (Have a look at Alan's flight from yesterday where he made racing in a sailplane look very pleasant...)

Practise Day

The ideal weather,  light winds, good visibility, a clear sky and maybe some clouds later. Here at Lake Keepit,   at the moment,   the weather is perfect.  The Contest Director is busy (in the office with Admin etc), some of the pilots are up and about, and out on the airfield we can see the kangaroos happily munching away on the grass, those cheeky little kangaroos,  they all look fit well and happy....

What a Great Day

A few lucky pilots flew today,  the sky around Keepit became simply amazing and all who were flying were able to take advantage.    Beautiful fluffy scatterd cumulus, light winds and many excellent thermals..  Most of the competitors have arrived so I guess the last few will arrive tonight and after breakfast tomorrow we'll see some rigging/checking/cleaning. Everyones chirpy and excited, lets all hope for good gliding weather and a great comp....
