It's over. The westerly gales have blown themselves out and finally we can set a real Contest day, actually from Drury and actualy in something approaching thermal weather.
And what a day. The weather predictions got it wrong in the best possible way. Forecast showers did not appear and the cloudbase was much better than expected.
Within the first hour almost everyone was getting distnces and speeds much faster than expected. But Pat Driessen showed everybody just how wrong the weather was by putting in a marathon 699.6 KM OLC Distance Task.
What a day.
