Only right and proper that we have a rest day today I guess, but it was certainly a good decision. I will post a photo of the windsock!
The wind's whistling wild round the winglets,
It's whipped the gazebo to ringlets.
It's rough and it's tough,
and to fly in that stuff,
You'd really have to be dinglets!
Tonight it's barbecue night, and there is a flash-looking Weber barbie on show courtesy of Trev Terry Marine who are one of our major sponsors. They have very generously donated a brand new Weber Q1200 as the spot prize for early-bird entries. Our thanks to them, and also to Roland VanDerWal who has donated a carton of his delicious "Ruru" wine. Thanks Roly.
Yesterday saw our closest ever finish with Keith Essex just 0.53 of a kph faster than Sebastian! Those two are less than 400 points apart on the total so far, as are the top three Club Class speedsters- Tim, Mike and Steve.
The weather forecast looks reasonable for more flying during the rest of the week, so it's all on. Watch this space.
