Ore 19 - Alle 15.00 c’è stato un forte temporale a Rieti con vento teso fino a 24 kts con raffiche a 32 kts prima dai quadranti nordorientali e poi sud occidentali e dopo un’ora il cielo era di nuovo sereno e il vento calmo. I voli sono stati difficili come previsto stamattina al briefing:  ci sono stati tanti piovaschi sparsi da dover evitare e le termiche, come ha detto Luis Bouderlique, erano “bizarre” perché dove si pensava non ci fosse ascendenza si poteva trovare un +3 m/s e laddove si poteva intuire di poter fare quota, il variometro non si staccava dallo zero!

19 pm - At 3pm we had a strong storm in Rieti with wind up to 24 kts with gusts to 32 kts fron west and after one hour the sky was clear again, and wind calm. Flighs were very tricky because of many rain showers and thermals were hard to recognize, they were “bizarre” as Luis Bouderlique said.

Ore 12. Giornata si presenta non facile per probabili fenomeni temporaleschi. Sono previsti venti da NE intorno a 10/25 kmh che rinforzano su lato est nord est della penisola. Le basi dei cumuli saranno a 2.500 m su Rieti, fino a 3.000 m su Orvieto e Foligno. Sono previste convergenze che però potranno favorire formazioni di cumuli congesti che quindi daranno pioggia. Le termiche potranno essere annullate dalle vaste zone d’ombra dei cumuli e da eventuali piogge.

12 am - Not easy day for probable storms. The NE winds are expected around 10/25 kmh, which reinforce on the east-north-east side of the peninsula. Cumulus bases will be at 2500 m on Rieti, up to 3000 m on Orvieto and Foligno. There will be convergences for soaring ridge that will however encourage the formation of congested cumulus that will give rain. Thermals can be canceled by the vast shaded areas of the cumulus and by possible rains.
