During the first 80 kilometers it seemed that it would be impossible to finish the task, because the weather was bad which caused quite pessimistic attitude between the pilots. Jiri Kusbach gave up the task during these first 80 kilometers and Tomas Rendla doesn't started at all.
During the day the weather improved and today's winner Alena reported cloud bases up to 2700 QNH. All pilots are now safely home. You may expect results soon.
Weather is not so good as estimated...
Yesterday and today we decided not to fly in the competition - cloud basis are only few meters above ground... :) In the time between we work hard on brand new meteostation and strong transciever installation. OGN receiver will follow soon! From tomorrow we will be in the game again.

Handicap of Jiří Kusbach
Mr. Kusbach had a chance to have a hadicap of 115, but he was not generous enough to pay us a dinner , so it was decided he will have a handicap of 119 for the rest of the competition.

EN- First Takeoffs
The sun was already beautifully shining when we woke up. Briefing was planned for 10 o'clock when all the competitors met on the veranda and our director Luděk gave them an AAT for two hours. After the briefing we set up the grid. You may find pictures of the grid in the gallery. The first takeoff was at 12:20 and it was the first ever aerotow from the Frymburk Airport. The brave and lucky pilot in the first aerotow was Daneš. All went well during takeoffs and the start line was opened at 13:32...

ČJ- První straty
Při probuzení už tady na Frymburku krásně svítilo sluníčko. Briefing byl vyhlášen na 10 hodinu, kdy se všichni závodníci sešli na verandě a náš ředitel Luděk jim předal AAT trať na dvě hodiny. Po briefingu jsme skládali grid. Obrázky můžete najít v galerii. První start proběhl ve 12:20 a byl to historicky první aerovlek z letiště Frymburk, prvním odvážlivcem byl Daneš. Starty proběhly vpořádku a ve 13:32 byla otevřena páska. V tuto chvíli jsou již všechny kluzáky na trati. Video z prvního star...

EN- News from 13/8/
The weather in the morning improved a lot compared to yesterday. The rain ceased and the temperature raised to 15°. Eventhough everybody can't wait to start competing on the highest airfield in the Czech Republic for the first time we had a preparation day today. Not only because of the weather, but also because the tow plane wasn't yet available. In the morning we rigged the gliders which caused yet unseen trafic at the Frymburk aifield as many pilots both intentionaly and unitentionaly came...

ČJ- Zprávy ze 13.8.
Počasí ráno se oproti včerejšku výrazně vylepšilo. Přestalo pršet a teplota stoupla na 15°. Přestože se už všichni nemůžou dočkat, až budou moci konečně začít soutěžit na nejvyšším letišti v ČR, byl dnešek jen přípravným dnem. Jednak to bylo kvůli počasí, ale také protože vlečna přiletěla až dnes večer. Dopoledne jsme složili větroně, což hned způsobilo na Frymburském letišti nevídaný provoz, když se piloti ať umýslně či náhodnou přilétávali podívat co se tu děje. Po poledni se počásí vylepši...
