11 am- For today 3 impegnative tasks have been assigned: "Group B" has 9 turning points (!) but not too far from Ferrara. Weather conditions are quite good. We have 26 degrees, QNH is 1014, take off at 12 am.
July the 1st - day 5
11 pm - Tonight's dinner was kindly offered by the aeroclub to all the competitors and their families. It was a pleasent evening with laughs, flying memories, future plans ... and a great sunset! June 30th - day 4
16 pm - No task for today: a big cover of the sky does not allow the heating of the ground so there is no thermal activity. Three gliders were flying at 1 am, at 2 am, and 2.30 am, but there were no chance for gliding. Ore 16 - Il cielo è totalmente coperto: senza sole manca la temperatura di innesco delle termiche. 8.00 pm Today meteo conditions were better than yesterday, with good thermals although not uniformely diffused. As always in this sport, you had to make a conservative flight to move from weak thermals to stronger ones. Every all gliders flew between 700 and 1200 m. June 23th - day 1
19.30 pm. We have 12 gliders out landing today. Weather conditions were quite difficult in the second part of the task, but there were good climbing values, 1 or 2 m/s, in the first part. It was very hot also in flight because the gliders could not be higher than 1200 m. Ore 19.30 Giornata difficile oggi, con 12 fuoricampo, alcune buone termiche da 1 o 2 m/s ma anche tante discendenze. Non sono state fatte quote superiori a 1200 m quindi anche in volo faceva molto caldo, come a terra: 39 gradi!...

Opening briefing for "Ferrara Cup 2017: group A, group B", Italian Championship for standard Class and Italian Championship promozione Class.The contest director, Giampietro Magri, asked to the pilots to vote the rappresentative pilot for each group in the competition.After he expleined take off and landing procedure and announced some info about meteo forecast for next days.Tomorrow briefing will be at 11 am.
