We had a great time yesterday at the farewell party, so now that it is morning (? well, guess who just woke up)... now that it is afternoon, most pilots have left already and affairs at Eskilstuna Flygklubb are slowly returning to their usual state. Thanks for the nice days!
...And check out our pictures (most are shot by Pierre Wolf, some by Mikael Engström and Andreas Lundén):
...and now the last log file is in, accounted for, calculated and uploaded Soaringspot. In case there is no protest (why should there be one?), we have "final" results (final for real as of 06:35 next morning). Congratulations to all winners!

..., weather looks fine and A-tasks are valid. Follow the race on APRS!

The weather is OK, but due to some uncertainties we decided to distribute two tasks for each class. We hope for the A-task but might be forced to assign the B-task. Let\'s see...

...and one Duo Discus T actually made the whole task. Congratulation to the pilots of AO!! Unfortunately, for the gliders with only 15m wing span and flaps the weather was far too bad to even start from the ground. But luckily good enough for the standard class (15m wing span without flaps), whose pilots managed quite well... on exactly the same task. Must be some aerodynamic phenomenon or something.

Today, we have created different racing tasks. Originally, we planned to start towing at 11.00 but due to slower development on the weather side, we now have moved start to 12.00 earliest... and then further to 12.30... and later to 13.00... and then finally (?) to 13.15... no: 13.30

We added photos for May 20th, May 21st and May 22nd (most of them taken by Pierre Wolf and Mikael Engström, some by Andreas Lundén). See also this link for some pictures by Mats Sundström.

...but it looks like the SE wind shadowed large areas with cold air from the Baltic Sea as well as Lake Mälaren and Lake Hjälmaren. At least that\'s how we interpret the satellite images available. Anyway, towing was completed around 13:30 and now, 16:15 pilots are reporting final approaches as well as outlanding. Exciting! We trust you have followed the development using APRS tracking?

...and some outlandings. We are happy, the pilots are happy... what more to say?

...and we had to cancel it for 3 of 5 classes. Luckily, we were able to avoid this for Standard and 18m/Open in which one pilot each managed to complete the task. Great work, guys!
