After a testing and showery day, where two got round, four landed out, the rest landed back and with everyone safely accounted for, the Rock Polisher Points are awarded as follows:
1. Nympsfield: Novice 3; Inter 4; Pundit 4: TOTAL 11
2=. Aston Down: Novice 4; Inter 0; Pundit 3: TOTAL 7
2=. Long Mynd: Novice 2; Inter 3; Pundit 2: TOTAL 7
4. Shobdon: Novice 0; Inter 2; Pundit 1: TOTAL 3
Talgarth and Usk: Not competing this year
Notes:
The Aston Down Intermediate had a car problem and was unable to attend - scored zero.
The Shobdon novice had been allowed to take a launch from his home airfield (he was not winch-current). However, as he did not make it to the start line at Long Mynd, he has been scored zero. To do otherwise would set a precedent that could be open to abuse in future, we felt.
The next event is at Nympsfield on 13/14 July

No task will be set today, but we are hopeful that the weather will clear this afternoon and with a decent wind on the ridge we should be able to try some short west launches and hopefully get the bungee rope out too!
