After some overnight optimism the weather didn't play ball and we scrubbed. Lots of thanks for all the people that helped A great comp and we will get together and do the same again next year.
Saturday scrubbed. Early briefing 09:30 on Sunday for the best chance of a racing day.

Weather briefing was a sequence of good news and bad news. There will be thermals, but it might rain (it already is somewhere). There may be spreadout, but the good news is that may supress the showers. Gridding when it is clear the showers have missed us.

Scrubbed - clearance arrived too late, very windy

The launch went very efficiently, as did the relights which came back fairly soon afterwards, while those who had managed to stay up called starts. The cloudbase was high and the climbs strong and all but one pilot got back (944 took an aerotow from Enstone). The K21 deserves a special mention for coming in just behind the JS1.

Waiting for the low cloud and rain to clear. Good weather expected soon so a task out to the Cotswolds has been set. BBQ on Saturday evening, all invited, please get tickets from the office. Isle of Wight webcam showing lovely Cu.

After the thunderstorms yesterday evening which flooded the hangar, everything is drying out. The Met Man sent in his briefing by email......there is possibly a small chance of a short task this afternoon so there will be a re-brief at 12.00 in the clubhouse. Now SCRUBBED. If scrubbed then the afternoon's entertainment will be go-karting

All but two got back, and the others are accounted for - 944 dropped in at Benson and is getting an aerotow, and LC is in a field near Hampstead Norris so he will be a bit late home.

Gliders are gridding. Today we have a small task with a lateish launch expected. As an HDT eaach glider is handicapped by setting an appropriate distance. For a K21 it is 87.4Kms and for a JS1 it is 119.3Kms. See the Task page for more info.
