Blue wave and sunshine
Much sunbathing is happening on the airfield and even more is happening at 10,000 above the airfield as Scotland puts on its best show today. Not a cloud in the sky and 26 degrees :)

Day 2
Its another lovely sunny day at Aboyne, but we are looking at blue wave this mornings that will be deteriorating as the day progresses. We have scrubbed the Cross Country competition for today but the Height Gain is avaiable with last launch at 18:00. 60 is already airborne and climbing throught 4,000' - you can see their progress at Glide and Seek

Diamond Height
One of our club member has just started decending from 20,100. A few competitors have flown to the furthest point in the first sector before turn south. Expecting some big distances today :)

Starting
The start gate is open and we have had a rush of gliders setting off down track. There are reports of 10+ knot climbs and aircraft already over 10,000 feet, plus the sun is shining :)

Day 1
Morning All,We have woken to a sky of wave wave wave. An assigned area task has been set (LOK - DLS - COM - LDB - ABD) 268.09 km / 492.44 km with a task time of 4 hours. The club two seaters are already at 14,500 feet and we will be launching the gride very soon. Keep an eye on progress at Glide and Seek

26th UKMSC
The 26th UK Mountain Soaring Championship starts on Sunday 3rd September 2023. The cross-country and height gain competitions will be running all week, with all the task, scores and my witty banter published on Soaring Spot as usual. Again we have a fabulous list of sponsors who support the running of the competition and our lovely trophys are up for grabs.
