BORDERTOWN RALLY SHINES AGAIN!
The Vintage Gliders Australia Annual Rally 2009 has come and gone, and once again left
lifelong memories for those lucky enough to have shared another fabulous rally!
Pleasant temperatures throughout the nine days, coupled with good flying available on
every day, gave pilots ample opportunity to enjoy their aircraft ... Read more... | | author: Ritz de Luij 17/02 at 06:17 | Horsham [gliding]week and horrible bush fires in OZ. | | Tags: | |
The Horsham week still is on and pilots can fly , though on google earth you can see the fires SW from Horsham.
January has been a great month for gliding in Victoria and the southern part of NSW. But how terrible is it to see that the heat ,which gives "our" glider pilots "lift up to heaven " , brings devastation for so many other people on "earth". [Victoria]Most of them were too late, or just had no chance to escape from this inferno. And what about all those animals ...over 100.000 died!!!
As my friend Jo wrote to me;" I think that we will all be touched in some way by this disaster".

Hi this is Ritz,
I am just adding my news blog which you can find on www.soaring.eu if you are interested.
Every sunday I write about what has happened or still is going to happen with friends flying everywhere in Europe, Africa, and Australia and New Zealand.
With a bit of a personel touch I try to make results and distances even more interesting for you.
I think the Naviter team is doing a great job and I will ,in my next blog tell my readers , when they have not found it yet, where to look for it.
It is always a bit difficult to write from your office instead of from an airfield . Best are the blogs I am allowed to write on invitation during WGC and JWGC or European comps.Straight from the enthousiastic "heart" to "your heart"
My next one will be in Rayskala in Finland, where the JWGC will be flown end of june beginning of july.
So if you like reading soaring blogs , please join in with a lot and read www.soaring.eu.
Cheers Ritz

They named it Google Chrome and boasted it is the fastest and most secure browser ever. We could not wait to give it a test drive.
There is a very clear verdict. Google promised a lot and lived up to their promises. Hats off to Google. Soaring Spot works perfectly in Google Chrome. One thing needs to be said to give Chrome the praise it deserves. We test our products on multiple platforms and multiple versions of Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer and others. While I personally like to work with keyboard and therefore prefer Opera, the winner of the speed contest amongst browsers is now clearly Google Chrome. It may be too early to reccommend Google Chrome at this moment. But certainly - give it a try! http://www.google.com/chrome See the comics explaining Google Chrome: http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/ | | author: Andrej Kolar 02/09 at 17:21 |
